Don’t be alarmed if you see an increased police presence around the city over the next couple of days.
The North Bay Police Service says its Emergency Response Team will be training in various parts of the city from 8 am to 6 pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
Police say officers will be wearing tactical gear and training at E–W Norman School and other locations, with drones also being used as part of the training.
Training is not expected to result in the closure of any streets or the disruption of daily activities for members of the public.
The North Bay Police Service says its Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations. Members of the North Bay Police Service ERT receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents.
