Ice Follies officially begins Friday with an event at 6 pm at Shabogesic Beach on Lake Nipissing.

The celebration of art, performance, and community runs through Feb. 21 with the theme Ozhaashikwaa (The Ice is Slippery).

There are also events on Trout Lake this year.

Artist talks are lined up on Saturday and Sunday at the Capitol Centre, with guided walking tours beginning Monday.

There’s also an Ice Follies Retrospective at the WKP Kennedy Gallery, running until March 8.

The on-ice attraction is free and open 24/7.
