Council to discuss over $80 million worth of capital projects

As council gets set to go over the operating budget next week, the city’s capital budget is also up for discussion.

It includes $80 million worth of projects in 2025.

A staff report says major capital projects include:

  • Community and Recreation Centre
  • widening and adding traffic signals on Seymour Street
  • work on Metcalfe Street
  • the Pearce Street Extension to Tower Drive
  • Asphalt Resurfacing
  • Vehicle and Equipment Life Cycle, and
  • Capital needs of service partners such as Cassellholme, North Bay Police Service and North Bay Jack Garland Airport.

Four special committee meetings are scheduled next week, Monday to Thursday, at 5:30 pm each day in the Mayor’s 5th floor boardroom.

Council approval is needed to move the budget and each project forward.
