City police charge five people after drug trafficking investigation

Three women and two men from North Bay are facing charges after a city police drug trafficking investigation.

Police say a residence in the 2000-block of Trout Lake Road was searched on Thursday morning, with over $25,000 worth of suspected drugs seized.

That includes suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone pills and cocaine.

Police also seized two rifles, a handgun, a shotgun with it’s barrel removed, four BB handguns and an air rifle.

Over 40 charges were laid against four of the accused, including drug trafficking and weapons-related counts.

The fifth person faces a charge of breaching a conditional sentence order.

All of the accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
