Rehabilitation work is coming to Trout Lake Rd.
MPP Vic Fedeli announced the province is investing $3 million into the City of North Bay through the Connecting Links Program to rehabilitate the road from the highway to Kingsway Avenue, which would include reconstructing the Laurentian Ave. intersection.
Mayor Peter Chirico says the Trout Lake Rd. corridor is a critical route for both residents and visitors, and the funding will help ensure its maintenance, safety and accessibility.
The design for the project is expected to go out for tender this Spring, with construction expected to begin in early 2026.
