Photographers of all ages are being invited to help the North Bay Municipal Heritage Committee (NBMHC) mark the city’s centennial.
The committee’s 2025 photo contest, Through the Lens of Time: Celebrating 100 Years of Design, is accepting submissions until mid-October.
Officials say this year’s theme highlights the connection between architecture and the natural elements of air, water, and land, which are key elements also represented in the City’s Centennial logo.
“Participants are encouraged to capture how design and nature come together to shape North Bay’s built environment,” states a release. “From historic landmarks that have stood the test of time to modern, sustainable designs, the contest is an opportunity to explore the relationship between human-made structures and the natural world.”
There are two age categories:
- 17 and under in 2025
- 18 and older in 2025
The winner in each category will receive $400 while second-place winners receive $150.
Winning photographs will be featured on the city’s website and social media platforms while Tourism North Bay will also share or use the photos for future marketing of the city (with proper credit).
The deadline for submissions is Oct. 14, 2025.
