Museum showcasing ‘North Bay at 100’

The North Bay Museum is looking back with its upcoming ‘North Bay at 100’ display.

They’ve been sharing photos from the centennial exhibition on social media in the lead-up to the launch on May 8.

So far, photos shared include those from Laurentian Ski Club and the North Bay Pipes and Drums, which is hosting a free concert and book launch on May 1 at the North Bay Museum.

The book launch starts at 6:30 pm, with the concert to follow.

The museum says its ‘North Bay 100’ display began with a call-out to the community to encourage residents to send in their stories to help celebrate North Bay’s Centennial.

“The result is a wide variety of displays that reflect the events, industries, institutions, people, and places that impacted the lives of ordinary North Bay residents,” states the museum.

The display will also feature the city’s centennial video being shown in their mini theatre.
