North Bay’s new skatepark and pump-track is about to host its first major event.
Red Bull Canada is involved with the Cheapskates’ Launch Jam on Sunday, May 11 at the Kiwanis All-Wheel Park.
Riders of all ages and skill levels are invited to come out and show off their best tricks.
Officials say the high-energy event runs from 11 am to 3 pm that day and includes giveaways, prizes, contests, and more.
“We’re thrilled to finally bring an event like this to North Bay’s Downtown Waterfront,” says Barry Klus of Cheapskates. “The Launch Jam is about community, energy, and showcasing the amazing talent we have here. It’s going to be an epic day for riders, families, and fans alike.”
The city says the park was designed for skateboarders, BMX and scooter riders, and has quickly become a popular destination for local youth and visitors since opening last fall.
