Suspect arrested after disturbance call to Manitou Street

City police are investigating after a disturbance call to Manitou Street Thursday morning.

The North Bay Police Service says officers were called around 9 am and when they arrived they found a man suffering injuries from an altercation.  

He was taken to hospital by ambulance.  

Police say a suspect was located a short time later and taken into custody.  

They add the investigation is ongoing resulting in a continued police presence in the area.

Police also say they believe this was a targeted incident and don’t believe there’s an imminent threat to the public.  

Anyone with information that may assist police with this investigation, including security camera or dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident, is asked to call the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 and select option 9 to speak to a police officer.
