Two early morning fire calls and an open house Thursday

There were no injuries after city fire crews responded to two early morning structure fire calls on Thursday.

Officials say the first one on Mulligan Street was a deck fire, while the second involved a detached garage on Summit Drive.

It was set back from the home, which was not impacted by the fire.

Crews from fire station one were leaving the first scene when the call came in for the second one.

Meantime, the North Bay Professional Fire Fighters are inviting the community to the official launch of the 2026–27 Fire Fighter Calendar.

The fundraiser is supporting CHAT4CHAD, which raises awareness and funds around mental health, supports people and organizations while working to remove stigma.

An open house with live demonstrations by local firefighters, including a vehicle rescue using the jaws of life is taking place from 4:30 to 6:30 pm Thursday at Fire Station One on Princess Street West.
