Chippewa is once again in the top 25 high schools in Ontario, when it comes to fundraising for the Terry Fox Run.
The secondary school raised more than $11,000 in last September’s event. Officials say that resulted in Chippewa ranking 21st in the province for their run, the second time they’ve been listed in the top 25.
‘This incredible repeat feat shows Chippewa’s staff and students’ dedication to Terry’s vision of eradicating cancer once and for all,” says Chris Cassidy, staff lead on the Terry Fox Run.

They’re also the only school from Northern Ontario in the top 25.
A pep rally started the day with teachers being pied in the face, and having beards and heads shaved after fundraising challenges were met.
That was followed by the run and a fundraising barbecue.
In 2023, Chippewa placed 11th provincially.
