Another long weekend is upon us and that means stat holiday closures on Monday.
Most government offices and retail outlets will be closed for Victoria Day.
There’s no recycling and garbage pickup in North Bay that day – it’s delayed a day through the rest of the week.
There is also no transit service on Monday.
Meantime, the waterfront will be a hub of activity this weekend.
Along with the marina office opening for the season, the Chief Commanda II sets sail for its 50th season of cruises on Lake Nipissing this weekend.
The mini-train and carousels are also opening for the season.
Weather permitting, they’ll be open from 10 am to dusk, Saturday through Monday.
