Another summer of visits to the Dionne Quints Museum is about to begin.
Starting this Friday, they’re open from 10 am to 4 pm every Friday and Saturday, into the fall.
Admission is free.
Officials with the Dionne Quints Heritage Board say as part of the city’s 100th Anniversary, the museum is celebrating Dionne Quints Week.
Along with launching the new season, they’re celebrating the Quints’ 91st birthday and there’s an expanded educational role.
There will be birthday cake at noon on Saturday (May 24) with daily bus groups from local schools visiting the museum all next week (Mon-Fri). “Each season the Dionne Quints Heritage Board strives to improve our ability in providing the genuine story. One that shook a family while captivating millions around the world,” states a release. “As Pierre Berton described it – the ‘fairytale feel-good story of the Depression’.”
The Quints home is located at the Community Waterfront Park, near the North Bay Museum and Family of Rotary Splash Pad.
The Dionne Quints were born May 28, 1934.
