Barkfest is back at the North Bay Humane Society this weekend.
The annual Microchip Clinic and Community BBQ is set for Saturday, June 7 from 10 am to 1 pm at 2060 Main Street West.
Officials say the cost for a microchip is just $30 or $45 with a City of North Bay license.
“Microchips are a form of permanent identification for your pets that are embedded just under the skin between the shoulder blades,” states a release. “Microchip information is accessible through a global database used by veterinarians, rescues and shelters worldwide, making it easy for lost pets to be quickly reunited with their family.”
The event also features a cutest pet contest with pup cups available for a donation.
