Callander has changed the venue for FunFest on Saturday to the Community Centre on Swale Street.
“Due to the forecasted heavy rainfall and the resulting conditions at Centennial Park, we’ve made the decision to move FunFest to an indoor location to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort,” states an update from the municipality on social media post. “All scheduled activities will proceed as planned—just under a roof.”

Callander is once again getting a head start on Canada Day celebrations.
Funfest takes place on Saturday, June 28.
The theme this year is ‘Callander Rocks’, with officials saying there will be plenty of music, food, family fun, and community pride.
“FunFest is the perfect way to kick off summer and celebrate Canada Day early — Callander-style,” states the municipality’s online events page.
Highlights include the parade along Main Street (11 am), the OPP Golden Helmets precision motorcycle team (1 pm), a vendor’s market, children’s activities, and more.
Fireworks, weather permitting, will wrap up the annual celebration at dusk.
