Environment Canada says we can expect hot and humid conditions Tuesday and Wednesday.
This as a heat warning continues for the area, with daytime highs of 28 to 31 degrees and a humidex of 33 to 38 expected.
A slightly cooler airmass is expected to arrive on Thursday bringing an end to the heat event.
The weather agency also says a special air quality statement continues with poor air quality expected through Tuesday in some areas.
It’s because of smoke from wildfires.
Meantime, the Heritage Railway and Carousel Company will not be open Tuesday and Wednesday because of the extreme heat and humidity and special air quality statement.
Officials say it’s to ensure the health and safety of both visitors and volunteers.
They expect to be back open Thursday, weather permitting.
