Provincial funding to restore Beaucage Park dock area

Nipissing First Nation is receiving funding from the province to restore the Beaucage Park dock and boat launch area and install park amenities.

Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing, announced $96,500 for the work.

“This funding will help make it easier for local residents to access the critical programming, activities, and spaces that make Nipissing a great place to live, work, and play,” says Fedeli. “Nipissing First Nation is a pillar of our community, and this support will enable them to better serve the people of Nipissing and continue to make a positive difference.”

The funding comes from the capital grant stream of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Chief Cathy Stevens says Beaucage Park is a space that holds deep cultural and personal meaning for her community.

“This project will ensure the dock, boat launch, and park amenities continue to serve as a gathering place where families connect, youth spend time on the land, and ceremony takes place,” says Stevens.  “With this support, Beaucage Park will remain a vibrant and welcoming space for generations to come.”

The funding is being provided over six months.
