When it comes to reliability, the head of North Bay Hydro says the local utility is in pretty good standing. Todd Wilcox says in 2012 North Bay had two major outages. Each lasted about an hour which is better than the provincial average of two hour outages. Meanwhile, Wilcox says it’s hard to know why the Pinewood area gets hit with more than its fair share of outages. He says for some reason that area gets hit with more-than-normal animal related blackouts.
