The City of North Bay has postponed the planned centennial drone show that was scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 3.
“This proactive decision is being made out of an abundance of caution as we continue to review a recent incident involving a previous show and consider further safety measures,” states a release from the city.
Officials say public safety is their highest priority, and they appreciate the community’s understanding and continued support.
According to eyewitness accounts on social media, a couple of drones fell from the sky during the last show.
