ON THE EDGE FRINGE Festival underway Aug. 6-10

The ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival is back this week.

It’s the twelfth edition with ten shows and six duality offerings Wednesday through Sunday.

Officials say duality features a series of disruptive interventions and explorations within the Capitol Centre and North Bay’s downtown area, often taking shape as theatrical engagements, pop-up performances, coffee house chats and much more.

There are also Fringe shows in the W.K.P. Kennedy Gallery and the festival’s warehouse on McIntyre Street, which is the old H.E. Brown building.

Mixers and after parties are also lined up.

The annual Fringe awards ceremony takes place on Sunday, Aug. 10 with three industry professionals determining which artists or companies will receive awards.

Along with Outstanding Production and Outstanding Original Work, there are awards for Jurors’ Choice, Audience Choice and the Chris Cassidy Spirit of the Fringe Award.
