The Association of Healthcare Philanthropy is honouring a member of the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation.

Kate Merritt-Dupelle has been named to the association’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2025.

The program recognizes 40 young professionals each year who are shaping the future of healthcare philanthropy.

Merritt-Dupelle has nearly 15 years of leadership experience in North Bay’s philanthropic sector and joined the NBRHC Foundation in 2023.

“Receiving this recognition from AHP is both a true honour and incredibly humbling,” says Merrit-Dupelle. “I’m extremely grateful to be part of this network of inspiring peers from organizations across the globe. It is a privilege to have found a career in healthcare philanthropy and this deeply meaningful way of helping to ensure that healthcare is available, close to home, when we need it most.”

The foundation say her leadership, insight and commitment continue to strengthen the Foundation’s capacity to inspire giving and transform healthcare in the community.

“We are delighted to share that Kate has received this esteemed recognition from AHP,” says Tammy Morison President & CEO, NBRHC Foundation.  “It is a reflection of her exceptional professionalism, dedication, and leadership in the field of healthcare philanthropy. To be acknowledged among peers across our sector is a true testament to the impact of her work. Her commitment to continuous learning and her ability to mentor and inspire others have made her an invaluable member of our team.”

The foundation says Merrit-Dupelle’s ability to connect the hearts and minds of donors has been instrumental in fully funding two community fundraising priorities to enhance healthcare at NBRHC.

They include the Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhoods project, which officials say is setting NBRHC apart as a leader in dementia care, and the $4.3 million Nuclear Medicine Department upgrade, which included two state-of-the-art SPECT/CT machines.

She has also helped secure significant funding for other impactful projects in North Bay and Sudbury, supported by charitable foundations, Chat4Chad, leadership donors and corporate partners.
