Fire crews help stock the shelves at the food bank

A chance to help the North Bay Food Bank provide kids with a healthy lunch is coming up on Thursday.

The ‘Back to School’ Fill a Fire Truck food drive is taking place at Metro on Lakeshore Drive from 10 am to 6 pm.

“All non-perishable food items and cash donations collected will go directly to the Food Bank,” states a release.

The food bank says it distributes approximately 200 Kids’ School Packs each month, ensuring children have access to healthy lunches.

Items in need include school-friendly granola bars and snacks, juice boxes, fruit cups and more.
