With the long weekend comes the usual stat holiday closures on Monday.
That includes most retail outlets and government offices, like city hall.
There’s no garbage or recycling pick-up on Labour Day.
It’ll be delayed a day through the rest of week.
Both the landfill and the recycling centre will be closed, and city transit buses will not run on Labour Day.
Meantime, North Bay Transit recently added its first three hybrid buses to its fleet.
Officials say they’re quieter, smoother and already saving about 20% in fuel compared to diesel.
The city also says there are plans for more hybrid buses to be added to the fleet in the future.
