Schools are still open but it’s an early March Break for some.
Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services says school buses in all weather corridors, except West Parry Sound are cancelled today (March 12).
Buses are cancelled from Mattawa to West Nipissing, south of Highway 522, and all points in between, including the North Bay area.
March Break officially starts on Friday.
Late Thursday morning, Canada Post upgraded its delivery service alert in the North Bay area to a yellow alert.
The crown corporation says that means they’ll do their best to deliver but there may be some delays.
Delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so.
A red delivery alert suspended service on Wednesday because of the freezing rain.
