Canadore shines a spotlight on Media Arts

Canadore College is celebrating the creativity and achievements of the graduating classes in the School of Art and Design.

The Media Arts Annual Showcase takes place Wednesday (2-9 pm) in the college’s main entrance.

Officials say you’ll be able to experience student creativity through exhibits, trailers, and hands-on demos.

There are graphic design displays, film and TV trailers, interactive game demos, and live music.

Tickets are also available to Theatre Canadore’s production of Radium Girl.

The event is showcasing the work of students in several programs:
– Acting for Stage and Screen
– Broadcasting – Television and Video Production
– Digital Cinematography
– Game Design and Development
– Graphic Design
– Recording Engineering – Music Production

“Showcase is an opportunity for us to highlight our growth as creators, and what we’ve learned during our time at Canadore,” says Ruby-Angel Poucachiche, 3rd Year Graphic Design Student. “We’re excited to interact with potential clients and employers to begin our professional journey.”

The event is free and open to the public.

“Canadore takes great pride in the creativity our students demonstrate each year,” says Dr. Sandra Efu, President and CEO. “This showcase provides an important platform for students to present their achievements and highlight the skills they have developed. I commend their dedication, innovation, and hard work.”
