Paying tribute to French language and culture is the inspiration behind a celebration later this month.
Les Compagnons have put together a day full of activities for June 18th to celebrate Saint Jean Baptiste Day in North Bay. Lou Gagne is the program coordinator and she says there will be lots to see and do that day starting at 2pm at the waterfront.
The day also includes a charter cruise on the Chief Commanda, a BBQ supper and musical performances by both local bands and a renowned French Band as well at the Kiwanis Band Shell.
Tickets are just $20 for adults and $10 for kids 13 and under. You can pick up your tickets at Les Compagnons, Paroisse St. Vincent de Paul, Caisse populaire North Bay, Pellerin Paints and Between the Bun.
