Ontario Northland confirms a Northlander trainset was involved in a collision with a commercial vehicle at a rail crossing in Bracebridge last Thursday.
“The incident took place during staff onboarding and training, prior to full passenger service, with only staff on board,” reads a statement. “Lights were activated at the time of the collision. The OPP have reported no injuries onboard the train.”
Bracebridge OPP say first responders answered the call shortly before 2 pm, with minor injuries reported by the vehicles’ driver.
The investigation is ongoing.
