The North Bay Regional Health Centre was in the spotlight at Queens Park. NDP Leader Andrea Horwath highlighted several areas of concern during question period.
Horwath says the hospital is understaffed and nurses and workers are stressed and overworked.
She paid a visit to North Bay on the weekend and spoke about the cuts to hospital staff in the Legislature yesterday.
Horwath says the people of North Bay are paying for four straight years of Liberal hospital funding freezes. She went on to ask when will the Premier start listening to people in North Bay and across Ontario.
She says they are forcing hospitals across Ontario to make cuts in  patient care, beds and staff.
Horwath says North Bay and many other hospitals will face further challenges if the Liberals don’t change their approach to funding.
