Jack Garland Airport quickly becoming pilot training hub

There aren’t a lot of specifics yet, but Cygnet Aviation Academy is expanding to North Bay.

That announcement on social media from the Kingston-based professional flight training organization.

The company’s website says it’s dedicated to delivering safe, state‑of‑the‑art instruction that prepares First Officer–ready candidates for Canada’s airlines.

Jack Garland Airport officials say Cygnet is helping prepare the next generation of pilots with the skills and experience to pursue diverse aviation careers, whether locally here in North Bay or with airlines across Canada.

“Their expansion is another great arrival as we continue building a complete aviation ecosystem right here in North Bay,” states a post on Facebook. “From basic flight training to advanced operations and career opportunities, we’re collectively creating pathways that help people launch successful futures in aviation.”

MyNorthBayNow has reached out to Cygnet for further information on their expansion to North Bay, and will update this story.

The announcement comes after International Test Pilots School Canada’s advanced jet training operations launched last month in North Bay.
