It is a moving and emotional event and organizers are hoping to see more survivors come out to this year’s Relay for Life.
Susan Plamondon says the Canadian Cancer Society is welcoming all cancer survivors to take part in the survivors lap on Friday.
She says watching a crowd in yellow survivor shirts is awe inspiring and to see people live longer is the reason they fundraise.
She says for someone who was recently diagnosed its inspiring to see all the survivors who are around and participating in the event.
Plamondon says you can register online or on Friday before the event which starts at 5:00pm.
