Two pedestrians passed away last month after being hit by a car on the 1200 block Algonquin Avenue.
North Bay resident Cheryl Foy has started a petition to install a crosswalk outside the medical building on Algonquin. She says it’s stuck in her mind every time she drives by and there needs to be some kind of solution.

The next step for Foy is to bring the petition to City Hall and ask council to start working on a solution.
Foy says there are over 400 signatures and that is a good start but she’s hoping to get 1,000.
