North Bay council will be directing staff to amend its sign by-law to reflect the changing times. A staff recommendation allows LEDs on signs plus animation as long as it doesn’t cover more than one quarter of the surface. Also third party advertising will be allowed but will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Staff says the local sign industry supports the changes.
