Another candidate’s event added in North Bay

Several community organizations concerned with the environment and healthy communities are hosting an all-candidates meeting ahead of the municipal election in North Bay.

Officials say the Sunday, Oct. 4 session takes place in the lower level of St. Andrew’s United Church and will follow a question-and-answer format.

It will open with questions from the participating groups.

They include Clean Green Beautiful North Bay, Discovery Routes, Nipissing Environmental Watch, Northwatch, Seniors for Climate Action Now, and the Trout Lake Conservation Association.

That will be followed by questions from the floor.

Officials say candidates are in the process of confirming their participation. Doors open at 6:30 pm (Oct. 4) and the meeting starts at 7 pm.

Chamber-led events for North Bay include a mayoral debate on Oct. 5 and meet the candidates’ event on Oct. 13.
