The North Bay OPP reports a fatal collision on Highway 94 Thursday afternoon in Callander, involving a motorcycle and passenger vehicle.
Emergency crews responded just after 3pm to the collision near the intersection of Terrace Road.
Police say the rider, an 82-year-old resident of East Ferris, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
The highway was closed for about four hours after the crash.
The investigation continues with assistance from members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team, as well as the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario.
