North Bay man uses key to break in and gets caught

Even if you have the key, going into someone’s house and taking their stuff is a crime.

Two North Bay men found that out the hard way and now face several charges of break, enter and theft and fraud. City Police say a 25-year-old man from North Bay went into a home while the owner was away. He used the victim’s spare key on March 21st and police say he took several items including some blank cheques.

He gave the cheques to the 51-year-old who forged the victim’s signature and cashed $1800 into his own account.

He then gave some of that cash to the 25-year-old.
