Cabinet shuffle doesn’t impress Nipissing MPP

Disappointing is how Vic Fedeli describes the Liberal Cabinet shuffle.

The Nipissing MPP says there are people being promoted to bigger roles without deserving the promotion. He says they have expanded to 30 ministers, which is now the largest cabinet in the country. He says he’s very concerned to see certain ministers taking new positions.

He pointed out Guelph MPP Liz Sandals is now president of the Treasury Board, moving out of the role of Education Minister. Fedeli says during her time in the education department she did not properly claim expenses.

He questions how that could lead to someone being moved into a role that handles all the governments’ expenditures.

Fedeli added MPP Bob Chiarelli is now the Minister of Infrastructure, leaving the post of Energy Minister. Fedeli says Chiarelli spent his time as Energy Ministry trying to convince everyone the gas plant scandal will only cost Ontarians the same as a cup of coffee.

Fedeli says another concern for him is MPP Michael Coteau who was the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport and brought the Pan AM games to Toronto. Fedeli says that came in way over budget as proven by the Auditor General. Coteau is now Children and Youth Services Minister.

Fedeli calls it comical when he sees people who did not do their jobs properly get a promotion.

The Nipissing MPP adds this shows the Premier is not in office for the people, but instead just to satisfy the Liberal party.
