Moose, deer and porcupines are just some of the animals you’ll see along area highways.
North Bay OPP say in the last two weeks those same animals have been involved in eight collisions motorists in our area. Police say those animals are very active at this time of year and can be seen near highways at any time of the day.
All drivers are asked to slow down if they see an animal.
As well, distracted driving will cause you to miss an animal sighting until it is too late.
