Swinging around a piece of wood while intoxicated has led to charges for a 19-year-old.
North Bay police charged the man after receiving a complaint call around 5:00pm on Sunday. The caller told police the 19-year-old man was suspected to be impaired outside an apartment building on Clarence Street.
They say the man was swinging around a piece of wood. A neighbour was able to take that away from the man and nobody was hurt.
The man left the scene on foot and was later arrested on Algonquin Street.
The man is charged with one count of public intoxication and assault with a weapon.
