Dry conditions in our area have led to an open air fire ban.
The affected communities are: Callander, East Ferris, Nipissing, North Bay, Restoule, West Nipissing, Powassan, Laurier Township, Magnetawan, McMurrich Monteith, Mattawa, Burks Falls, Armour Township, Ryerson Township and Phelps Township. The North Bay Fire and Emergency Department announced the ban Tuesday.
They add this will stay in effect until there is significant rainfall.
You cannot have any type of open air burning and fireworks are also banned.
