CIBC North Bay has donated $15,000 to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
Chair of the Hospice Board Mathilde Bazinet says they are very grateful for the donation. She says they are now a little past half-way in terms of the funds needed to build the Hospice on John Street.
Bazinet says the Nipissing Serenity Hospice is becoming more of a reality, but they still need help to get there.
She says this donation sets an example to the community, companies and service clubs in the area. She says this is a home that will benefit all families in the region.
Tim Ott is with CIBC and says they recognize the need for a hospice for the region. He says this is for families and the generations after and is a much needed asset to the community.
To complete the hospice the board says they will need $6-million, and they are over the half-way point.
