A 21-year-old man has been arrested and faces a total of eight charges after an alleged domestic violence incident. Police say they arrested the man early Saturday morning when they spotted him in a vehicle on Algonquin Avenue.
They had received a call around 9:30am about a suspected domestic violence incident.
It is alleged the man assaulted his female partner and fled their home in the vehicle. Police say it is also alleged he assaulted the same woman on two separate instances earlier this month at their home.
Police were not notified of either of those reports until this past Saturday.
The man is charged with three counts of domestic assault and five other charges.
