Using reserves gets cool reception from council

North Bay councillors shutdown a suggestion to use its reserve fund to replace the John Street Bridge this year.  The idea came from Mark King who opposes delaying the work another year.  When King suggested dipping into reserves to carry out the work this year, he was met with several protests.  They include the deputy mayor Tanya Vrebosch who says reserves should only be used in emergencies.
