Monday’s North Bay council debate to re-zone a lot for a triplex on Galt Street got testy between two councillors. At one point Dave Mendicino accused Sarah Campbell of twisting his words over the issue. Mendicino says years ago council told staff to pursue pro-development proposals and that’s why the triplex was being considered. Campbell argued economic development doesn’t always have to be the main driver because council also needs to listen to what the public wants. That’s when Mendicino told Campbell she was twisting his words.
