Charges have been laid after a transport truck passed a stopped school bus

An Etobicoke man has been charged after a school bus compliant last month.  On June 16th, North Bay OPP was called around 4:30pm after a transport truck was seen passing multiple cars, including a school bus, and almost hitting a parent.  A police investigation found an eastbound transport passed stopped vehicles that were behind a school bus which was stopped with overhead red signal-lights flashing and stop arm out.  The transport had to swerve into the westbound lane and almost hit a parent waiting to cross the road.  On Monday, officers gave the 45-year-old transport driver tickets for Careless Driving and Faliure to Stop for a School Bus.  Combined, those tickets result in 11 demerit points and minimum fines of $800.
