The Tragically Hip in Kingston, a CBC live screening will be broadcast on the big screens at Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 20th to help out two charities.
The event is being presented by Laurentian Ski Hill and Deacon Wealth Management, and proceeds will go towards Laurentian Ski Hill and the “In Gord We Trust” foundation for brain cancer research.
Lead singer Gord Downie was diagnosed earlier this spring with a deadly form of brain cancer.
The “Terror Birds”, a local band, will perform live prior to the screening.
