Following an investigation, the North Bay Police Service`s Street Crime Unit have arrested and charged a 27-year old male.
Two men were observed outside Fisher and Main Street, with one man suspected of having a prohibited weapon.
Before police could arrest the accused, he fled the scene on foot but after a short pursuit police caught him on Regina Street.
Police searched him after arrest and found the following:
- 100 methamphetamine pills;
- A small quantity of marijuana, cocaine and hydromorphone;
- $400 in Canadian currency; and
- A knife concealed in brass knuckles.
The drugs had a value of nearly $900 dollars.
The accused was released from custody and has a court date scheduled for September 13th.
