The North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit has arrested a 33-year-old man following an investigation into a suspended license.
The unit stopped a vehicle on Algonquin Avenue with info that the man’s driver’s license was suspended, and proceeded to search his car.
As a result of the search, police found:
- 11.4 grams of cocaine;
- 20.6 grams of marijuana;
- 90 methamphetamine tablets;
- $40 in Canadian currency; and
- drug paraphernalia.
The street value of the drugs was over $2,500, according to police.
In addition to seizing the drugs and paraphernalia, police also seized the accused’s car as offence-related property.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
