MNR studying area lakes

Trout Lake is one of several water bodies the Ministry of Natural Resources is monitoring for invasive species and fish populations.  It’s one of 143 lakes across the province being studied this summer.  Another area waterway is Nosbonsing Lake.  The ministry is marking the areas under study with buoys and asks the public not to touch them.  Lakes will also have nets in them and boaters are asked to stay clear of these areas.   The ministry is studying the lakes to determine if size limits are necessary in the future.
