The City of North Bay has installed time of day speed reduction zones in three areas of the city in accordance with the new city bylaw.
The speed limit in these zones is 40 kilometres an hour between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
New flashing amber lights have also been installed in these areas to let drivers know when the speed limit reduction is in effect.
The zones are Algonquin Avenue from High to Jane and Front, O’Brien Street from Devonshire to High and Marshall Avenue from Prince Edward to Lakeshore Drive.
