Two tickets were issued in Community Safety Zone on Jane Street at Harvey Street where the speed limit is 40 kilometres per hour. The highest registered speed was 65 kilometres per hour.
Three tickets were issued in the Community Safety Zone on O’Brien Street, while the amber lights were flashing to indicate that the speed reduction is in effect. The highest registered speed was 59 kilometres per hour.
Four drivers were given 72-hour notices for failing to provide documentation to police. Those drivers now have 72 hours to come to North Bay Police station to show proof of insurance or vehicle permit.
It’s an improvement over yesterday in terms of the number of tickets, and police didn’t see any drivers fail to stop for buses or crossing guards. No bus drivers reported any drivers failing to stop for them, which is also an improvement over yesterday.
